More »The installation of the patio awning is not complicated. It can be made difficult by its weight, which obviously depends on the size of the awning - with larger covers, it is worth relying on professionals.
Awnings can be mounted to the outer wall, the bottom of the balcony or the roof rafters. Mounting to the external wall can be considered the most difficult, because it depends on the type of material the wall is made of, the way it is insulated, etc. Appropriate brackets are dedicated to each type of mounting.
In addition, during assembly, we decide whether the awning is to be in a special cassette or not. Cassettes are recommended for awnings not covered, e.g. by an overhang. The cassette protects the rolled-up awning against post-season weather conditions. However, if the material is covered by something, you can install it without a cassette, and after the season, protect the awning by securing it with e.g. foil. It is worth knowing that in Knall selected patio awning systems are additionally equipped with a canopy that covers the material.
Keeping patio awnings clean is not complicated. We remove contamination in the form of leaves or twigs on a regular basis. At the end of the season, it is worth washing it with warm water with the addition of a mild cleaning agent, which then needs to be rinsed thoroughly. We use a sponge or cloth for cleaning. When cleaning, disassemble the fabric and then let it dry completely.
From time to time, the technical condition of the structure should be checked and its moving parts, e.g. side guides, should be lubricated regularly.
