What are cookies?

Cookies are text-based files stored on the user’s end device (web browser) in order to recognise the device and enable functions such as: shopping basket, login. Cookies do not cause any damage to the devices on which they are stored.

Cookies are used on this website for the following purposes:

• To maintain the user session on the website after logging in, so that it is not necessary to enter the username and password on every subpage visited. Cookies used for this purpose are stored only for the duration of the current browser session. They are automatically deleted once the browser is closed.
• To enable the operation of the shopping basket mechanism, which remembers the products added to it, without the need to add them again every time the user navigates to another subpage. Cookies used for this purpose may be stored for longer than the current browser session in order to remember and restore, in case the browser is closed, the products the user had added to the basket.
• To collect general, anonymous statistics on user behaviour on the site, with the aim of improving the content and functionality of the website.

Web browsing software is set by default to accept cookies. This setting can be changed at any time so that cookies are blocked. However, blocking cookies may result in certain website functions not operating correctly, which may, in particular, prevent the use of features such as the shopping basket or user login.
