RoofLITE+ MIA Roof Window Awning

The RoofLITE+ MIA roof window awning is designed specifically for roof windows and effectively reduces heat build-up on sunny days. It is installed on the outside of the window, allowing it to block a significant proportion of the sun’s rays before they reach the glazing. This helps maintain a more comfortable indoor temperature in loft spaces, even during hot summer weather.

The RoofLITE+ MIA awning blocks up to 80% of solar radiation while still allowing natural daylight into the room and preserving the outside view. This helps prevent the loft from overheating without the need to completely darken the interior. An additional benefit is the reduction of noise from rain and hail, making the room more comfortable to use.

The MIA model features a durable cassette mounted at the top of the roof window. When the awning is retracted, the fabric is stored inside the cassette, where it is better protected against snow, frost and other adverse weather conditions. Its robust construction is designed for long-lasting performance and reliable resistance to changing weather.

The RoofLITE+ MIA awning is compatible with selected RoofLITE+, Dakea and Dakstra roof windows. The correct version should be selected according to the window size code shown on the window's identification plate.

Compatibility Table

Installation is quick and straightforward. The entire fitting process can be carried out from inside the room, without the need to access the roof. In most cases, a standard ladder is all that is required for installation. This practical solution makes both the initial fitting and future operation of the awning simple and convenient.
