Modernity is not always functional. There are things that are beautifully designed and dripping with modernity. They look beautiful and look good at them, but when it comes to use it ... you don't know what's going on.
Of course, not everything has to be functional, but many things that we use at home should not only be beautiful, but also functional in their everyday functioning. Electric curtain rails are an excellent example of a product in which the aesthetics of workmanship are combined with the convenience of use in everyday life. Decorative curtains, which also function as curtains, can change the interior in an unusual way - bring warmth and elegance to it. However, arranging them in even and decorative folds can be troublesome if they are placed, for example, on a classic tubular curtain rod. The electric curtain rail makes it easier, obviously, to slide the curtain material apart and slide it down, but most of all it keeps the material in place; neatly arranged.
Functionality of electric curtain rails The contemporary fashion for large windows requires special solutions in terms of the convenience of covering them. When it comes to blinds or roller shutters, the matter is quite simple - they fit into the window space and are covered / exposed vertically, which makes them perfectly adhere to the glass.
The situation is different with decorative curtains, they constitute a kind of frame for the window space. Their material can emphasize the interior design and give it an unusual atmosphere. However, especially with large and very large windows, the sliding of the material and its proper positioning can be problematic. Electric curtain rails are the solution here.
Their main advantages are elegance (the curtain rod is completely masked and the motor very discreet), quiet drive and versatility; The curtain rod is suitable for any type of curtain - a light one that acts as a curtain and a heavier one that acts as a blackout curtain. In addition, curtain rails are equipped with the so-called "Soft start and stop", which prevents the material from swinging when starting and stopping the mechanism. The drive stops when it encounters an obstacle; it can also be started by slightly pulling the curtain, the so-called "touch motion".
Electric curtain rails can be used not only with curtains hanging straight, but also running in an arc, while the remote control attached to the drive allows you to control more than one layer of fabric, which will be useful when there are curtains and curtains in the windows.
The Knall store supplies electric curtain rails in an assembled form, but with a product longer than 2 m, they consist of several elements that must be joined. On the website (in the Automation tab) there is a short video showing how to do it. We control the curtain rod with a remote control, but it is also possible to use a tablet or phone with the Google Assistant or Alexa Amazon application installed.
Decorative curtains Decorative curtains provide intimacy, protection from the sun and are an extremely decorative element of the interior. Due to technological development, electric curtain rails can be conveniently controlled, even when they cover large windows.
A wide selection of materials allows you to use them as light curtains, if we choose a transparent and thinner material, or as blackout curtains, when we choose a material with a thicker texture. An additional advantage here is the colors - an extensive palette will allow you to match the cover to the nature and colors of the rooms throughout the house. It should also not be forgotten that the fabrics of the curtains are natural and of a very high quality. Thanks to this, they will keep their color and aesthetic appearance for a long time.
