Advantages of sectional doors
Customer opinions, as well as care for their safety, change the products for the better. Thanks to this, the construction industry is also changing, including the gate market. Sectional garage doors are the answer to the ever-increasing demands of customers. Their popularity is constantly growing and they systematically displace up-and-over doors from the market.
Here is a list of the most important advantages of sectional doors:

Functionality (space saving). The vertical guiding of the door curtain (no extension in front of the garage face) allows free use of the garage even with a short driveway, which is important when, for example, the garage is close to a busy street or when we have a short driveway (free parking with a closed entrance gate). In addition, the vertical guide, mounted to the inner wall, does not reduce the width of the entrance and is not visible from the outside (the entire structure is inside). Thanks to this, the whole design of the building gains aesthetics. This type of assembly also makes the shape of the lintel irrelevant and can be, for example, arched.
Energy saving (reduction of heat loss). The door sections move on guides and are sealed around the perimeter, thanks to which they are resistant to drafts on all edges. Thus, sectional doors are better than up-and-over doors in terms of thermal insulation. This is especially important for heated garages and energy-saving buildings/houses. In addition, they provide very good sound insulation.
Convenience. Sectional doors are opened automatically with a remote control. Regardless of the weather, we comfortably drive in and out of the garage. It becomes important when we imagine a snowdrift of wet snow lying in front of the garage (entrance without shoveling is not possible). Of course, the electric drive is equipped with safety devices that stop or reverse the gate when the leaf hits an obstacle. Each sectional door can also be opened manually in the event of a power failure, for example.
Security. Sectional door guides make it possible to protect the garage more effectively against burglary - they are usually more effectively locked than up-and-over doors. In addition, the special construction of the door (joining panels, hinges, enclosed springs) protects against potentially dangerous situations, e.g. pinching of fingers (especially important for children). In addition, the cable is secured (at tension springs) - if it breaks, the gate leaf will not fall down by itself.
