Window covers fulfill similar functions in public space. First of all, they protect against the sun, but also affect the aesthetics. Interiors of this type should also be well-kept, and the covers should be matched to their appearance and colors. Imagine offices, offices, hospitals, courts, schools and colleges, libraries or other public places with open windows. The more so because in such rooms the windows are large and often occupy the entire wall. Without proper covers, working or staying in them would be, to put it mildly, not very pleasant.

One of the most popular ways to effectively and aesthetically shield public spaces from the sun is velticale. Vertical blinds are vertical blinds made of strips of material (lamellas) placed vertically.

The advantages of verticals
Veticals is primarily intended for large windows, as well as glass surfaces that are also the wall of the building. Their key advantage is that by protecting the rooms from the sun, they do not completely obscure them. Natural light is dimmed and can still be used without having to turn on artificial lighting.

In this type of cover, vertical strips of material are placed on a rail that is mounted to the wall / ceiling. The control system is self-locking, thanks to which the material remains in one position without the effect of inert and unsightly sagging. The belts can be placed fully covered or tilted at any angle using a control device. You can also slide all the straps completely to one side of the window. Manual control can be replaced by electric.

The color palette of vertical materials is extensive, and you can also choose from its various structures. Bright colors have the ability to optically enlarge smaller spaces. On the other hand, colorful and textured can emphasize the style of spacious rooms. Additionally, remember that verticals can also be used to create partitions. This solution can work, for example, in medical or cosmetic offices.

When choosing verticals for public utility rooms, you can also choose those that are equipped with a hygiene certificate (PZH) and a non-flammability certificate (ITB).

Vertical systems in Knall
In the Knall online store, we offer verticals in the Classic system. You can choose vertical fabric stripes in two widths; 89mm and 127mm. The differences in the width of the strips (lamellas) are important in relation to the size of the room in which the vertical is to be installed and the way it will be used most often. The material with a width of 127 mm will work primarily in large rooms with large glazing; when it comes to the way of using verticals, this width of the lamellas is more convenient when they will only be tilted more often (without frequent shifting to one side). Material with a width of 127 mm is also more often used to create partitions. On the other hand, narrower lamellas (89mm) are better for when we want to not only deflect the material, but also slide it to one side.
