Window covers - trends for 2021

The wood seems to have no age - it invariably appears in the arrangements. Its secret lies precisely in its naturalness and uniqueness. No two pieces of wood are the same. This feature is transferred to the nature of wooden blinds made of Siberian linden or bamboo. If we want the blinds to protect our home from the sun, this type of blinds is perfect for constantly fashionable interiors where nature reigns. Wooden blinds are identical to aluminum blinds; They are made of horizontal slats, the inclination of which regulates the flow of light. Wooden strips are more massive than aluminum blinds, therefore, when completely covered, they protect against high temperatures inside, when it is hot outside.

If, however, we prefer delicate and light window decorations, it is worth considering Roman blinds or curtains. Both types of covers are sewn from the same natural fabrics. Curtains have been going through a renaissance for some time. They appear in the windows more and more often. However, it is worth remembering that they fit better into spacious interiors. They take up a lot of space around the window and can optically reduce them in smaller rooms. However, with more space, curtains have an amazing ability to give it coziness and warmth. The fabric muffles sounds and warms minimalist arrangements. Roman blinds will work well in rooms of various sizes. Blended into the window frame, they will warm up the atmosphere of the rooms, but in smaller interiors they will not dominate the window space.

What about the colors? Here, too, nature comes to the fore. Must have 2021 is beige. It is accompanied by a whole range of colors - vanilla, chocolate, cinnamon, cream, latte coffee. These are the colors that not only make us drool, but which in 2021 will be an inseparable element of interior decoration.

2021 is also a return to boho and art deco styles. Here, Roman curtains and blinds, i.e. covers made of natural fabrics, will work again as window decorations. In art deco there is a contrasting combination of black and white. The variety of colors such as purple, red, turquoise or a whole range of pastels is, in turn, the domain of boho. You can go crazy with colors with a selection of blinds or curtains and create an interior in a unique style. There are also decorative prints and various types of prints, e.g. with a floral motif, on the window covers.

However, you have to be careful with prints and intense, darker colors. In smaller interiors, it is better to choose light colors and smooth fabrics. You also have to remember that colors are a very nice addition, but overloading them creates a melange that can give us a headache in the long run.
