More »Fabric blinds are one of the most classic solutions in the field of window cover. It is a combination of simplicity and minimalism that will work well in rooms of different character and different styles of finishing. It is the universal nature of fabric roller blinds that makes them still very popular.
Fabric blinds are a cover, the material of which is mounted on a hardware that allows, with the use of a chain mechanism, to stop it anywhere in the glass. The whole can be mounted in the glass light, on the window sash or to the wall / ceiling. Each type is designed to fit tastefully into the space of the glass. Internal window covers are not only a way to protect the interior from the sun or to ensure intimacy. It is also an important element of interior design. When designing the appearance of the rooms, the window space must be consistent with the whole, it should complement it in terms of style and color. Otherwise, there will be an arrangement chaos in the interiors. Especially that nowadays architectural designs of houses, residential and office buildings are characterized by large windows. Even more so, the way in which they will be covered should be well thought out.
Characteristics of fabric blinds
Fabric roller blinds are produced in three different types: without a cassette, in a half-cassette and in a (micro) cassette. This division is of course related to the extent to which the material is hidden after the roller blind has been completely rolled up. However, the degree of protection of the material after rolling up does not affect the long-term aesthetics of the blind. The materials from which they are produced are characterized by very high quality and resistance to the deposition of dust particles and the formation of dirt. For this reason, they keep a nice appearance for a long time. Another thing is the color fading of the material; here, with time, the color may lose its intensity under the influence of UV rays falling on the cover after its unfolding. The only way to avoid this effect may be to additionally install external roller blinds: vertical awnings or screen roller blinds. They will not darken the rooms, but they will effectively stop the sun's rays in front of the glass, limiting the harmful effects of the sun. This applies not only to the material of the blinds, but also to the colors of the furniture and walls.
Fabric blinds - assembly and fabrics
The method of embedding the material also affects the installation of fabric roller blinds. The roller blind in the (micro) cassette is mounted in the light of the glass. The semi-cassette roller blind can be placed on the window sash or on the wall / ceiling, while the roller blind without the cassette can be mounted on the wall or ceiling.
As for the material itself, the Knall online store offers fabric roller blinds in three groups: Standard, Premium and Exclusive. The materials in each group differ in texture and degree of darkening.
In the Standard group, the materials are transparent, i.e. a certain degree of light transmission. All fabrics are single-colored.
The Premium group consists of plain and patterned fabrics. The most eye-catching feature is that the material is covered with a pearl coating on both sides. As a result, the lowered roller blind reflects the sun's rays in a very effective way.
Exclusive fabrics are fabrics that darken or completely blackout. Blackout properties are due to a special gumming. Gumming does not affect the aesthetics of the appearance. You can also find unique materials inspired by nature; the material is interwoven with bamboo, straw and jute grass fibers.
Fabric roller blinds can be used in every home room. Due to the fact that they have an extensive color palette, there will be no problem with matching them to the interior design. An additional advantage is that they are manufactured to size. Regardless of the size of the window, they can be placed in any home window, creating a harmonious image both inside and outside.
